Did you know that the
average
pet dog was bred to work for a living and requires 1 to
4 hours of exercise per day just
to stay mentally and physically healthy? Exercising your
dog is completely your responsibility.
Why Create a Dog Park?
Central
Bark was created for several reasons.
As the owners of an obedience
school, we saw the incredible need for a "safe" exercise
area for dogs. Many dogs cannot be completely
trusted off leash and as a result do not get off leash
running and free play exercise that they so desperately
need.
Often dog owners
call our obedience school when they are ready to give up
their pet. Our goal is to keep these dogs in their
homes. While training a dog is key to helping the
frustrated owners understand and modify their dog's
behaviour, without enough exercise the dog can not
concentrate and learn, and the dog/owner relationship is
sure to fall apart.
Most dogs that are "out of control" are simply under
exercised and under trained.
Central Bark was
also created for owners of banned breed dogs. At
Shannoncourt's Central Bark, prejudice does not exist.
Take the muzzle off and allow your dog to enjoy the
freedom.
We love and respect
all dogs at Shannoncourt Grooming, Training, Daycare and
Pet Hotel.

Dogs enrolled in
our daycare program or staying in our Pet Hotel use Central
Bark for outdoor
exercise time.
We have created a
special park just for you and your dog. The park
is completely fenced in with five foot fencing. It
covers an area of just under half an acre and is
equipped with agility obstacles. Central Bark is
open year round for your convenience. The park is
available to rent by appointment. When you rent
Central Bark, no other person or dog will be allowed in
at the same time.
Bring your exuberant pup home tired
after an hour of free play at Central Bark, or shape up
your couch potato dog with a good game of fetch.
Everybody wins!

Most people who use
Central Bark just need a place to let their dog run
leash free.
Other uses for the
park are:
-Playing Frisbee or fetch with your dog
-Using the agility obstacles
-Practicing off leash training

The park is also
wonderful for dogs that do not get along with other dogs
or people.
